Questo libro in due volumi nasce dal materiale prodotto dal Congresso internazionale promosso dal Carl Gustav Jung Institute nell’estate del 2023 e si concentra sul tema delle emozioni e del ruolo che esse svolgono all'interno della psiche.
Frutto del lavoro di psicoanalisti e accademici rinomati a livello internazionale, affronta il tema delle emozioni in un’ottica interdisciplinare. Suddiviso in cinque parti, questo volume si articola nei seguenti temi chiave: le emozioni, l'immaginazione e il metodo; la base emotiva degli archetipi e dei complessi; il trauma relazionale; la mappatura del contagio attraverso le culture; il contributo delle neuroscienze; i sogni e il trascendente. I casi clinici presentati sottolineano l'importante ruolo che le emozioni inconsce e dissociate svolgono nella formazione della sintomatologia e come la loro accettazione faciliti i processi di integrazione.
